Georgian and international designers, artists, fashion journalists, bloggers, photographers and buyers descended on Georgia to explore the latest fashion trends and to show off their collections at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi from May 5th to May 9th.
Though Tbilisi may not be at the top of your list of cities when you think of fashion capitals of the world, the fact is that Georgia’s capital has recently become a focus for a variety of creative minds.
Rosario Morabito, a London-based journalist from Italy, Anna Peuchert – a travel journalist from Germany, Circle Fang – a journalist from China, Carl Yan – a photographer from China, Fulvia Galbousera – a buyer from Italy, and Soron Jepsen – a photographer from Denmark, were also among visitors of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, all saying they found the fashion week and works of Georgian designers really attention-grabbing. The guests also traveled to the Kakheti region to explore some beautiful sites in Tsinandali – the Alexander Chavchavadze House-Museum, Naphareuli Winery and a Wine Tunnel of the Khareba wine-producing company. Including natural wine-testing ceremonies and Georgian scrumptious dishes, the visitors had a great time.
