Soon, on Chavchavadze Avenue, behind the statue to Galaktion, will be erected the building which may a face of modern, future Tbilisi. AXIS Towers is the project, which will introduce totally new lifestyle standards and requirements to Georgia. It is entirely a Georgian project, implemented by Georgian specialists in cooperation with global partners. Construction of AXIS Towers was launched in 2006. However, due to the 2008 crisis, the construction was suspended. In 2015, the construction was resumed by partnership of the AXIS company and Georgian Co-Investment Fund, which invested 83 million US $.
There are five lines of development in AXIS Towers: residential, hotel, office, commercial and entertainment functions. The development objective is to locate these functions in one building, so that they will supplement each other, which is allowed by the developed infrastructure of AXIS Towers. Main communications are supplied directly by the central stations, which means that the communications do not overload the current network, but the funds are spent on development of the present network and sub-stations. AXIS Towers will be served by 22 fast elevators promoting independent movement of internal streams, which is very important for such a multifunctional complex. People who live, work or have fun here do not need to go out for shopping or receiving high quality service. This is a kind of a “city in the city”, covering 100 000 square meters of construction area and having 41 floors, 37 of which are above ground and 4 are under ground. There will be parking space on three out of four underground floors, which will cover 25 000 sq. meters, one floor will be used for commercial space with a supermarket and various shops.
Residential area is located in the stone tower. Apartments, starting from 43 sq. meters, are light and sunny due to large stained-glass windows. All corner apartments have 13,4 sq. meter terraces, which are closed by sliding windows in bad weather. Due to these windows, the terrace becomes a safe space for arranging a winter garden in your apartment. Every detail is provided for your comfort. Heating-cooling modern systems, which are controlled by special application and allow you to heat or cool air in all rooms simultaneously; fire safety system of international standards.
Construction of the residential tower structure is completed and soon the façade will be put, this purpose, a natural white granite stone has been selected.
The glass tower and pedestal of AXIS Towers will house A- class office center. There will be a spa and fitness center, as well as 25-meter swimming pool with movable roof and open terrace. 5-star Hotel Pullman, which is a part of the largest French brand Accor Group, will open there soon. All these functions make the AXIS Towers apartments more attractive for investments.
It should be noted that AXIS Towers is creating a public area on its territory. There is a lack of pedestrian streets in Tbilisi, such streets are only in the old part of the city. The pedestrian street, which is intended to be entirely a recreation zone, will connect Chavchavadze Avenue with Abuladze Street. There will be about 12 A class cafes and restaurants. A sky bar will open on the top floor of the building.
The main objective of the AXIS Towers project is to bring as much benefit to the city as possible. It will promote a process of turning of Chavchavadze Avenue into a business center and extension of the tourist zone from the old city towards Vake district.
