What To See TEA TELIA

Recomendations From Tbilisi residents – TEA TELIA – Film artist

1. THE MARIONETTES THEATER

A unique theater in Old Tbilisi, next to Anchiskhati Church. Don’t miss an opportunity to view a performance there. Director, playwright, artist and sculptor Rezo Gabriadze writes plays, creates puppets and gives them life on stage.

2. Café “O, MODA, MODA”

A European-type café on a noisy street in Vera that leads to a comfy yard. With an interesting concept for Georgia, the café owners forbid smoking, and the menu puts together very tasty and healthy food. The café interior is vintage style. There you can buy remarkable fashion items and clothes by Georgian designers. A really great atmosphere to relax, both daytime and in the evenings.

3. TBILISI ART MUSEUM

The building of the museum is one of the oldest in Tbilisi, constructed by a Swiss architect. The museum collection features art works from the middle ages to the XX century. The Gold Fund is also a unique place with remarkable works of goldsmithry, cloisonné enamel, church ritual items and refined church embroideries. In addition, the museum offers the chance to view paintings by Niko Pirosmani, Gigo Gabashvili, Iakob Nikoladze, Lado Gudiashvili, David Kakabadze, and other world masters: Bernardo Daddi, Lucas Cranach, Guido Reni, Ian Steen and others.

4. TBILISI HISTORY MUSEUM

The more than 50,000 objects kept in the museum archives tell us about the history of Tbilisi and its districts from BC to date. As well as the permanent exposition on the first floor of the Karvasla – Museum is the second floor offering you various exhibitions and presentations.

5. BATHS IN ABANOTUBANI

A vivid place in Old Tbilisi, one of the must-see places for Tbilisi guests. It is now possible to taste Georgian dishes in many baths today, as in previous times
